Mi nombre es Katherine Santos y tengo tres hijos en Tree of Life. Me encanta ser parte del Amigos Club porque sé que estoy ayudando a traer eventos a la escuela que toda la familia puede disfrutar. Me encanta conocer a otros padres y, a su vez, a sus hijos. Algunos de mis eventos favoritos para planificar a lo largo de los años han sido el Festival Internacional, la Gala, la Noche de Matemáticas y 1, 2, 3 Andrés.

My name is Sam Lanctot and I'm serving your amigos parent club as Secretary. My husband and I have a very precocious six year old in kinder here at TLC who keeps us on our toes. His curiosity and outgoing nature led us to TLC for the extra challenge and we stayed because it feels like home. Although I have a day job, my heart is in non-profit work and I'm loving the opportunity to support our school. 

Mi nombre es Sam Lanctot y trabajo como secretaria en el club de padres de amigos. Mi esposo y yo tenemos un niño de seis años muy precoz en kindergarten aquí en TLC que nos mantiene alertos. Su curiosidad y naturaleza extrovertida nos llevaron a TLC para afrontar el desafío adicional y nos quedamos porque nos sentimos como en casa. Aunque tengo un trabajo diario, mi corazón está en el trabajo sin fines de lucro y me encanta la oportunidad de apoyar a nuestra escuela.

Hello, my name is Sabrina Niewinski. My family and I have been with Tree of Life International Charter School since 2018. After year three, I called a meeting with Directora Wallace to express my gratitude and to also pitch an idea to her. I love(d) how the school embodied true connection and support and I wanted to become more involved. From that meeting on, I became the Parent Liaison for TLC and currently still am. I work closely with the Amigos Club and work hard to build a beautiful bridge between the parents and teachers.

Choosing TLC for our children was the easiest decision  we’ve ever made. Academically, my children have flourished. From day one of being immersed in Spanish learning, the support from the teachers, staff and principal has been incredible. The kindness and inclusion the school gives to the children and their family is undeniable. We felt like we had community the moment we walked on to the campus. 

Every day my family and I are thankful for every aspect of TLC. From the office administration, to the Cafeteria Chef, to the yard duty and maintenance, every single person gives off the brightest light of positivity. They say, “home is where the heart is,” and I can truly say, TLC has my heart.

Hola, mi nombre es Sabrina Niewinski. Mi familia y yo hemos sido parte de Tree of Life International Charter School desde 2018. Después del tercer año, tuve una reunión con la Directora Wallace para expresarle mi gratitud y también para presentarle una idea. Me encantaba cómo la escuela encarnaba una verdadera conexión y apoyo y quería involucrarme más. A partir de esa reunión, me convertí en el enlace de padres de TLC y todavía lo soy. Trabajo estrechamente con el Amigos Club y trabajo duro para construir un hermoso puente entre padres y maestros.

Elegir TLC para nuestros hijos fue la decisión más fácil que jamás hayamos tomado. Académicamente, mis hijos han prosperado. Desde el primer día de estar inmerso en el aprendizaje del español, el apoyo de los maestros, el personal y la directora ha sido increíble. Es innegable la amabilidad e inclusión que el colegio brinda a los niños y sus familias. Sentimos que teníamos una comunidad en el momento en que entramos al campus.

Todos los días mi familia y yo estamos agradecidos por cada aspecto de TLC. Desde la administración de la oficina hasta la chef de la cafetería, pasando por las tareas de mantenimiento y el jardín, cada persona emite la luz más brillante de positividad. Dicen que "el hogar es donde está el corazón" y puedo decir con sinceridad que TLC tiene mi corazón.

My name is Maria Plascencia, I am mother to three boys, two of which come to Tree of Life. I love being part of Amigos club! It’s an excellent way to be involved and keep up with all of the activities happening in school.

 

Mi nombre es María Plascencia, soy madre de tres niños, dos de los cuales vienen a Tree of Life. ¡Me encanta ser parte del club Amigos! Es una excelente manera de participar y mantenerse al día con todas las actividades que suceden en la escuela.

Hola! I'm Sara Klusmeyer, and I have been part of the Tree of Life Family since 2019, when my daughter Olivia started Kinder. It's an honor to be part of such an amazing school community, built on love!

Joining the Amigos Parent Club is my way of showing dedication to our TLC Family. I love that I get to witness parents come together and volunteer their time for the greater good of our children. As a local Mortgage Lender, I love numbers! So, when the opportunity to serve as the Treasurer came along, it felt meant to be!

My mission is to ensure that every parent feels valued, supported, and empowered as we continue to build our community together.

I continue to be inspired by our progress and I am so excited to see where we'll go next!

Soy Sara Klusmeyer y soy parte de la Familia de Tree of Life desde 2019, cuando mi hija Olivia comenzó Kinder. ¡Es un honor ser parte de una comunidad escolar tan increíble, construida sobre el amor! Unirme al Club de Padres Amigos es mi manera de mostrar dedicación a nuestra Familia TLC. Me encanta poder ser testigo de cómo los padres se reúnen y ofrecen su tiempo como voluntarios para el bien de nuestros hijos. Como prestamista hipotecario local, ¡me encantan los números! Entonces, cuando surgió la oportunidad de servir como Tesorero, ¡sentí que allí era mi lugar! Mi misión es garantizar que todos los padres se sientan valorados, apoyados y empoderados mientras continuamos construyendo nuestra comunidad juntos. ¡Sigo inspirándome en nuestro progreso y estoy muy emocionado de ver hacia dónde iremos en el futuro!
